Race Safety

We’re excited to be able to provide an in-person experience, and we want to do so safely. We will be following State of North Carolina guidelines and exercising all necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Here’s what we’re doing to keep our in-person event as safe as possible for everyone:

  • We are limiting registration and offering rolling starts, which allow for limited numbers of participants in each wave over the span of longer time periods. Waves will run from 7:30 am to 9 am.
  • All staff and volunteers will be required to wear a face covering during the event. All runners will be required to wear a mask at the start/finish line and while inside the Nature Center park gates. Masks will be provided as needed.
  • There will be advance screenings and on-site contactless temperature checks for participants.
  • There will be visual social distancing reminders, hand sanitizer stations, and hygiene facilities  available at multiple locations throughout the event.
  • This year, there will be no finish line ‘experience’ of music, waiting on results, or an awards ceremony. Results will be posted online, and winners will be contacted to receive awards.
