The Biltmore Championship Asheville is coming, and we’re getting in on the fun! The WNC Nature Center is teaming up with amazing local partners for the first-ever Mountain Scorecard. No golf skills required!
Starting September 1, pick up a Mountain Scorecard at any participating business and hit the road to explore some of Asheville’s favorite local spots. Collect stamps at each location, then bring your scorecard to the WNC Nature Center Gift Shop by September 30 to claim your prize!
And while you’re at the Gift Shop, be sure to say “Hole in One” for 20% off all apparel!
How It Works
- Pick up a scorecard at any participating business beginning September 1.
- Visit participating locations throughout September and receive one stamp from staff at each location.
- Collect your stamps and bring your scorecard to the WNC Nature Center Gift Shop.
- Redeem your scorecard by September 30 to receive your prize!
You do not need to pay admission to the WNC Nature Center to participate or redeem your scorecard. Simply head to the Gift Shop to turn in your card.
Prizes
- 3–4 stamps: Receive a North Carolina nature sticker.
- 5 stamps: Receive a WNC Nature Center guest pass and sticker,
- 6 stamps: Receive the above prizes plus entry into a drawing for a WNC Nature Center Family Membership! Name and email are required for drawing entry.
A few things to know:
- One scorecard per person.
- All scorecards must be redeemed by September 30, 2026.
- Scorecards are valid only for visits during September 2026.

French Broad Chocolate
Business partners Jael Skeffington and Dan Rattigan’s passion for chocolate was born in 2003, when they drove a vegetable-oil-powered school bus to the cacao-rich tropics of Costa Rica and opened a restaurant called Bread & Chocolate. While living there for two years, they visited cacao farms, got to know cacao farmers and learned about Theobroma cacao, the plant from which chocolate is made. Inspired to continue their path in chocolate, they moved to Asheville and founded French Broad Chocolate in 2006.
Guided by their mission to source with integrity and craft with love, French Broad Chocolate builds direct relationships with sustainable farmers and producers and transforms fine cacao beans into craft chocolate in their experiential Chocolate Factory in Asheville, NC. From bean-to-bar chocolate to bonbons and beyond, they create artisan chocolate bars, confections and treats featuring their chocolate paired with local, fresh and organic ingredients.
North Carolina Glass Center
North Carolina Glass Center is a nonprofit, public-access glass studio and gallery located in Asheville’s River Arts District, with a second location in downtown Black Mountain.
Their low-cost shared studios help emerging artists launch their careers and enable established glass artists to pursue new and ambitious challenges. Their galleries showcase work from undiscovered and established glass artists in Western North Carolina, while their classes provide thousands of visitors with high-quality, affordable and fun instruction.
